Argon

Argon

Chemical and physical properties:

Argon is not dangerous in terms of its chemical properties, as it is an inert gas and a natural component of air in the earth, but the danger is due to its physical properties; pure argon is about 38% denser than air, so the risk of indoor suffocation is likely. What makes it even more dangerous is difficult to detect, as it has no color, smell or taste.

Uses of Gases by Industry:

  • filling fluorescent lamps and electronic tubes
  •  production of titanium, zirconium and other metals
  • MIG welding and cutting
  • flushing molten metal
